J&K Students’ Association distributes 200 Food Kits among needy and destitute Families in Bandipora

J&K Students’ Association in Collaboration with District Adminstration Bandipora and Ummatunnisa Care Foundation here today distributes over 200 Food kits at the doorsteps of needy and destitute families in different areas of Bandipora district. Each food kit costing Rs 1300/- contained Flour, Salt, Namkeen Tea, Lipton Tea, rice, Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder, Sugar, Pulses, Detergent Powder, Edible Oil & Dates, and other essential items.

Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami thanked District adminstration Bandipora and Ummatunnisa Care Foundation for joining ration kits distribution to vulnerable needy families & supporting endeavour that no household should be without food during this unprecedented Corona pendamic time.

Mehraj Ahmad, Social Media Coordinator of Association said, The families were identified by the local community and referred to the Association. Over 200 food-packs were distributed among the beneficiaries of various areas of Bandipora district. The food items were distributed “among those whose livelihood got effected” due to the lockdown. Associations’ effort is no family or an individual sleeps hungry, Mehraj said. 

Association also appreciated the efforts of District Administration Bandipora and Ummatunnisa Care Foundation for reaching out to people during lockdown.
