In a statement, Nasir Khuehami, National Convenor of the Association, lauded Jamia Millia Islamia for its enduring legacy as a beacon of hope, pride, and academic excellence, which has played a pivotal role in shaping generations and contributing significantly to the nation’s progress. “Jamia is more than just an institution; it is a movement built on the values of action, excellence, and inclusivity,”.

He emphasized that Jamia’s steadfast commitment to co-education and the empowerment of women reflects its progressive ideals and forward-thinking philosophy. Khuehami urged the alumni, students, and faculty to actively engage in start-up ventures, address societal challenges, and drive innovation, further contributing to India’s development.

“Jamia has consistently excelled, achieving remarkable milestones over the past six years,” he noted, highlighting the institution’s significant strides in advancing the educational standards set by the nation and the global academic community.

Commending the university administration, including professors, teaching, and non-teaching staff, for their dedication and vision, Khuehami praised Jamia’s recent initiatives, including the establishment of a medical college—a testament to its unwavering commitment to education and healthcare. He expressed hope that the ideals, vision, and values upon which Jamia was founded will be further strengthened, guiding the university as a leader in national and international education.

Khuehami also conveyed confidence in the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif, under whom Jamia is poised to expand its role as a bastion of learning and empowerment, benefiting not only Indian students but also those from Africa and the Middle East. “Jamia is a legacy of knowledge, innovation, and community that inspires us all. It is a land of hopes and dreams, a testament to inclusive dignity, diversity, and development for all,” he added.

Expressing optimism for Jamia’s future, Khuehami concluded by stating that the institution will continue to thrive and reach new heights in the coming years, inspiring generations to contribute toward a better, inclusive society.
