Srinagar 22 March : J&K Teachers Forum on Thurday greeted people and employees fraternity on the eve of Ramadan and applealed people and employees to remember helpless, destitute and donate generously for social causes
In a press statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, Provincial Spokesperson JKTF Teachers Forum Mr Tahir Ahmad Sofi has felicitated people and employees fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Ramadan.
Tahir Sofi said the month of Ramadhan is a period of patience, piety, forgiveness, compassion and devotion to the service of mankind and hoped the auspicious month will be harbinger of peace, communal harmony, amity, brotherhood and prosperity for the people and employees fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir.
He appealed to people to pray wholeheartedly during this month and seek Almighty Allah’s
blessings and forgiveness and said let us bow before Allah in prayers, remember the helpless during fasting and seek Allah’s mercy in the night long prayers”.
Terming the Ramadan ul Mubarak as the month of charity and compassion, Tahir Ahmad Sofi appealed the well sections of the society to donate generously
for the social causes during this month.He added the holy month highlights the values of patience, self-restraint, tolerance and austerity, which promote feelings of compassion & respect for others and remember widows,orphans,destitute, infirm and those who are unable to fend for themselves in this holy month.
Meanwhile, the whole central leadership of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum extended their Heartiest greetings to Muslim ummah on the commencement of the Holy month of Ramadan.
