Srinagar, March 26: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted a spell of light to moderate rain and snow in the higher reaches of Kashmir on March 26 and 27.

According to the weather forecast, the rain and snow are expected to occur mainly in north and central Kashmir, starting from the afternoon of March 26 till night, and again during the late afternoon of March 27 till night.

The weather is expected to improve gradually after March 27, with generally dry conditions predicted from March 28 to 31 and April 1 to 3.

In view of the weather forecast, travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to plan accordingly and follow administrative and traffic advisories. Farmers are also advised to suspend farm operations during March 26 and 27.

There is also a possibility of thunder with gusty winds at a few places during March 26 and 27.
