According to the forecast, May 1 will remain largely dry, though brief spells of light rain may occur at isolated locations during the afternoon. On May 2, scattered areas are likely to witness light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds.

A more significant weather activity is expected between May 3 and 4, when the region is likely to experience generally cloudy conditions with one or two spells of light to moderate rain or thundershowers at most places. Thunderstorms, hailstorms, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph are also expected at a few locations.

Weather conditions are expected to improve slightly from May 5 onwards, with only brief spells of light rain or thundershowers at scattered places. Between May 6 and 9, the weather is likely to remain mostly dry, although isolated afternoon showers cannot be ruled out. Similar brief rain activity is forecast at isolated places on May 10 and 11.

In view of the expected rainfall and gusty winds, the MeT department has advised farmers to suspend farm operations between May 3 and 5 to avoid any potential damage.

Authorities have urged residents to stay updated with official forecasts and take necessary precautions during periods of inclement weather.
