J&K Yateem Foundation organises blood donation camp at Sub District Hospital Kupwara

J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) in collaboration with Sub District Hospital Kupwara on Tuesday organised blood donation camp at SDH Kupwara in North Kashmir’s frontier district.

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Sh Doifode Sagar Dattatray inaugurated the camp by donating the blood pint himself thereby setting excellent example for others to emulate in pursuit of common humanitarian cause.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that blood donation is a social service and people especially youth should come forward to donate blood which helps in saving the precious lives. He appreciated volunteers who donated their blood and also congratulated the stakeholders for conducting the blood donation camp for a better cause.

Shri Dattatray received feedback from the concerned officers regarding functioning of the blood bank established in the hospital. He was informed that there is a capacity of 500 pints in the blood bank and almost 200 pints remain available.

On the instructions of Chairman JKYF Mohammad Rafiq Lone, the Yateem Foundation District Unit Kupwara organised the camp in which 35 volunteers from different parts of the district donated their blood to save precious lives .

Medical Superintendent SDH Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Block Medical Officer Kupwara, Tehsildar Kupwara, DIO Kupwara besides doctors, paramedics and volunteers were present on the occasion.

JKYF Secretary Finance Mohammad Ishaq Sheikh and District Representative JKYF Kupwara Abdul Rahim Lone also were present on the occasion.

Chairman JKYF extended his gratitude to DC Kupwara, Sub District Hospital and district administration authorities, for putting in place all the necessary arrangements in a befitting manner. He also appreciated humanitarian spirit of JKYF volunteers.
