Srinagar, May 21: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr with a hope that these occasions will be marked with harmony, reconciliation and an end to distressing situation caused by the spread of COVID-19.

Bukhari said his party shares the sentiments with devotees and pays for well-being and happiness of the people of the whole world in general and people of J&K in particular.

“I take this opportunity to extend my warmest greeting to the people on the eve of Jumat-ul-Vida. This day is unique in assuring the blessings of Allah Almighty in abundance. I appeal the people to pray for everlasting peace to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and an end to the sufferings caused by the deadly Coronavirus,” he observed.

Bukhari said that Jumat-ul-Vida is indeed a highly significant day endowed with a great spiritual importance and he prays to almighty Allah to accept the penance and fasting of people and bestow his choicest blessings on the whole humanity.

While extending warm greetings to the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, Bukhari said the spirit behind the observance of this Eid, which marks the end of month-long fasting, is to express thanks to Almighty Allah for giving courage to his believers to observe fast and rededicate themselves to truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, and patience.

“JKAP being concerned about the distressed situation in J&K particularly that emerged after the emergence of COVID-19 makes an appeal for austerity and simplicity on the auspicious occasion of Eid. This Eid also embeds the message of taking care of the needy and making them part of the happiness by extending financial support to them. I wish Eid Mubarak to one and all.”
