JKDMA issues Avalanche warning for 11 districts of J&K

J&K Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) on Sunday issued medium and high danger level avalanche warnings for eleven districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

A JKDMA Spokesperson said, Avalanche with medium danger level is likely to occur above 2200 metres over Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban, Reasi, Anantnag and Kulgam districts in next 24 hours.”Further, high danger level avalanche is likely to occur above 2200 metres over Kupwara, Ganderbal, Bandipora, and Baramulla districts in next 24 hours”, he said.      He added that People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing in the avalanche prone areas.Dial -112 for help.
