JKIFTS Columnists Council conducts a Webinar on “Drug Addiction”

Jammu and Kashmir Innovative Foundation For Transforming Society (JKIFTS) conducted a webinar on Drug Addiction.
The webinar was organized by the columnists council of JKIFTS under its “Mental Health Cum De-addiction Program”
Mushtaque B Barq, the Council Head briefed the session which was followed by descriptive lectures from three of its members. Among the members who spoke during the session include Faheem Ul Islam, who delivered a speech on Menace of Drug Addiction and role of youth in adressing this menace. The second speech was about Preventive measures of Drug Addiction – delivered by Advocate Syed Mujtaba, one of the core executive members of the council. The third speech was presented by Zakir Malik, who spoke on Implications and Consequences of Drug Addiction on Society.
“Drug addiction is emerging as a serious menace in the society with increasing incidence on daily basis especially among youth – that is unfortunately a sad state of affairs. We need to sensitize the society towards this grave issue of concern and create awareness upto maximum through all possible platforms”, said Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo , Director JKIFTS.
The webinar was attended by various members of the council and later on a question- answer session was held to redress the queries regarding the topic from the participant members.
