While extending his support to the government, President JKPSCC Showkat Chowdhary said the School Education Department has done a wonderful job by doing away with formal textbooks and school bags for pre-primary students at the schools.

Chowdhary said children need to be taught through play-way methods using modern learning techniques.

“JKPSCC will extend full support to the administration in implementing this decision in letter and spirit.”

Chowdhary also appealed the private schools to implement the order and assign no homework to students of classes up to 2 Standard.

JKPSCC President said the private schools were implementing the same practice of assigning no homework to kindergarten and they were taught everything at school only through various fun, mini-adventure activities and worksheets which helped them remain busy to learning process through a fun way.

“We are also hopeful that government takes more such steps and also implement our suggestions we have put forth the administration from time to time for making the education a world class system in this region.”
