JKSPAM condemns brutal use of force against Shia Mourners, demands ban on pellet guns

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Socio-Political Activist Movement on Saturday condemned brutal use of force by Police on Shia Mourners in Srinagar.

JKSPAM said in the press statement that such use of brute force should be condemned and police should exercise maximum restraint.

The statement further read, its highly condemnable and unfortunate that Shia mourners were severely beaten and pellet guns were fired upon them, critically wounding many youth.

JKSPAM unequivocally condemned such acts of aggression and demanded that the brutal pellet gun should be banned in Kashmir immediately.

The socio-political group appealed the newly appointed Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha to address such issues on humanitarian grounds and ban such weapons that have maimed scores of Kashmiri Youth.
