Srinagar, May 20: JKSSB aspirants urged the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board to immediately release the examination calendar for pending recruitment tests, including those for the Health Department and Finance Accounts Assistant (FAA) posts, saying the delay has created confusion and uncertainty among candidates.
The aspirants said JKSSB had issued a tentative examination calendar in January in which Health Department examinations were scheduled for April, May and June, while the FAA examination was proposed for June.
However, no final dates have been announced so far, they said.
A group of aspirants said many candidates had applied for multiple posts, including Health Department and FAA vacancies, but were unable to plan their preparation in the absence of a confirmed schedule.
“The delay in releasing the calendar is causing stress among aspirants. Candidates do not know which examination to prioritise as there is no clarity regarding the dates,” an aspirant said.
The candidates said around 20 days ago, officials had indicated that the examination calendar would be issued soon, but no update has been provided till now.
They appealed to the Controller of Examinations, JKSSB to announce the examination schedule at the earliest.
The aspirants said the release of the calendar would help candidates streamline their preparation and remain ready for the examinations.
