An emergency meeting was held by Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) at its office on Monday wherein the writ petition filled by Wasim Rizvi in Supreme Court for deleting of 26 versus (Ayats) from holy Quran was condemned.
While addressing the participants, Chairman of the Jammu Muslim Front Shuja Zaffar expressed anguish and resentment over action of Wasim Rizvi .
He said that nobody on the earth can change even a dot from the holy Quran. He castigated the sinister act of Wasim Rizvi. He further added that he requests the All India Muslim Personal Law Board to excommunicate Wasim Rizvi from Shia community.
He however cautioned both Shia and Sunni communities to maintain calm as the holy Quran is most revered book for both Sunni & Shias.
He appealed that there should not be any wedge between various sects of Islam due to one man’s sinister action.
Qazi Imran President of the JMF while condemning the action of Rizvi in strongest term has questioned the logic of Rizvi behind this writ petition.
He said that all people should remain cautious of divisive forces at this critical time, when tempers run so high.
He added that even though tempering of holy Quran cannot be tolerated in any way. But at the same time, the Muslims in general should not resort to any violence.
Other participating members of JMF also condemned this ugly action of Rizvi and appealed to the general public to remain peaceful.
