Job aspirants were unable to submit their applications on Saturday as the online portal of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (SSB) went offline. Interestingly, Saturday is the last date of submitting applications.

A group of aspirants for junior assistant, library assistant and laboratory assistant jobs in the school education department said they couldn’t upload their credentials on the web portal from past two days.

“The website of the JKSSB, www.ssbjk.in is not working properly. Due to a unknown server error, we were unable to submit our applications. This is happening from past two days,” the aspirants said.

They said authorities in SSB are yet to fix the issue even on the last date of submitting applications.

The aspirants appealed to the authorities to extend the last date by at least two days.

“Banks are also closed today and every candidate doesn’t have online or e-banking facility available with him. So last date should be extended until Monday,” they said.

However, Education Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari said he will take up the matter with the concerned officials.

“I will talk to them regarding the issue,” said Bukhari.
