Journalist and author Maqbool Sahil passed away on Tuesday evening in Srinagar.
Reports said Sahil fell while walking in Lal Bazar area of the city.
People rushed to the spot but found him dead.
Sahil was currently working as a senior editor with a local Urdu daily.
