Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for protests after Friday prayers against the increasing braid-cutting incidents in Kashmir valley.

In a statement issued today, JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik called for state-wide protests against the alarming increase in braid cutting incidents.

The leadership appealed to the people of Jammu, Poonch, Pir Panjal and Chenab valley besides those residing in Pakistan-administered Kashmir to hold protests against the incidents.

JRL has also called for a rally in Polo Ground Srinagar on October 14 to protest against “attempts” to change the demography of the state.
