The shooting of Jug Jugg Jeeyo came to a standstill after Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and director Raj Mehta tested positive for Covid-19 . While the trio recover, reports are rife that other actors like Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani will be resuming the shoot.
According to a report in a news portal, after the film hit a roadblock, it was becoming difficult to get the combination dates of actors again. So, Anil, Kiara and Prajakta Koli are likely to begin filming their portions by later this week. The report added that the team of assistant directors, under the able guidance of producer Shashank Khaitan, is eyeing to kick off the shoot by December 17.
Varun, Neetu and Raj are reportedly on the road to recovery. Once they test negative and are given the clean chit by their doctors, they will be resuming work.
The film will mark the return of Neetu Kapoor to films seven years after starring ‘Besharam’ which also featured her late husband Rishi Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor.
Interestingly, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were supposed to star in Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Mr Lele’. The film was eventually shelved. The actress also appeared in ‘Kalank’ in a song sequence ‘First Class’ with Varun.( TOI )
