SKIMS JVC has started fist of it’s kind of Online Booking of OPD consultations for patients. Earlier SKIMS JVC was designated as Covid19 facility, and all the OPD services were stopped in view of Covid19 situation in the valley. Principal SKIMS JVC Dr. Reyaaz Ahmad Untoo while speaking to said, “The service is first of its kind in UT of Jammu and Kashmir.”
“Under this service a patient has to book prior appointment on the website of hospital and select the doctor and in the list, once the booking is confirmed and patient can download or take the screenshot of the application and accordingly we make his OPD card and necessary arrangements.” said Dr Reyaz Ahmed Untoo.
Pertinently, OPD services were stopped in SKIMS JVC hospital after Covid19 hit the valley, and under the crises management situation and to avoid any state of emergency, SKIMS JVC was only meant for Covid-19 hit patients.
To restart the services of OPD in SKIMS JVC Hospital authorities have to arrange separate facilities, as the hospital is still treating the Covid affected patients.
A separate premises and separate entry and exit points have been arranged for OPD patients.
“We have started the prior online booking for OPD services in Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatric, and Orthopedic department. Later on we will also start the OPD service for other departments,” Dr Reyaz Untoo said. (KNT)
