Inder Cultural Forum Sumbal Sonawari also selected for the Sharaf-e-Kamraz honor

On October 6, 2024, during the monthly meeting of the Executive Committee of the Kamraz Literary Center, Jammu and Kashmir, a meeting of the awards committee for “Sharaf-e-Kamraz” was held. It was unanimously decided that the 2023 and 2024 Sharaf-e-Kamraz honors would be awarded to the renowned Kashmiri writer Mr. Wali Mohammad Aseer and the prominent writer and former Director of Doordarshan, Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, respectively. Additionally, the active unit associated with the center, Inder Cultural Forum, will receive the 2024 Sharaf-e-Kamraz honor this year.

Meanwhile, one book from the prose and poetry creations published in the Kamraz region during 2021, 2022, and 2023 will be selected for the Best Book award, which includes a cash prize of ₹10,000, a shawl, and a memento, as previously announced. It is worth noting that, continuing the long-standing tradition of the center and honoring the legacy of its predecessors, this year’s annual conference will be a 2-day event, scheduled to take place on November 2nd and 3rd , as per statement issued by Kamraz literary centre
