The residents of Hariganiwan Kangan area of Ganderbal district protested against PMGSY department for failing to complete this vital road in the area.
Locals blocked Srinagar-Leh road and demanded that road must be completed at an earliest.
Work was started on the road but due to compensation issues , a local objected and asked for compensation.
They said that ist compensation must be given to the poor locals after that road must be completed .
They were raising slogans against PMGSY department for not taking the problems of the area seriously.
They requested higher ups to look into the matter and speed up work at an earliest.
Later a team of police headed by SHO Sajad Ahmad reached to the spot and pacified protesters by assuring them that your genuine issues will be redressed after which protest was called off.
