Srinagar: In a significant step towards promoting public health and tobacco-free communities, the Kashmir Care Foundation is organising a live awareness webinar titled “Tobacco Cessation – Part 2”, focusing on the impact of tobacco use on cardiovascular, neurological, and reproductive health.
The expert-led session will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 8:30 PM (IST) via the Zoom platform. The webinar aims to highlight the serious long-term health risks associated with tobacco consumption and to share evidence-based strategies for prevention and cessation.
The distinguished panel of speakers includes Dr. Ashraf Ganai, Director SKIMS, Srinagar; Dr. Sarabjit Singh Chhibber, Neurosurgeon at SKIMS; Dr. Syed Masuma Rizvi, Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist at Lal Ded Hospital, Srinagar; and Dr. Irfan Ahmad Bhat, Cardiologist at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Naveed Nazir Shah, Chest Medicine specialist at Government Medical College, Srinagar, along with Dr. Altaf Lal, President of Kashmir Care Foundation.
According to the organisers, the webinar will feature expert insights, real-life case discussions, and practical guidance on tobacco cessation, empowering participants to make informed lifestyle choices and contribute to healthier communities.
