Srinagar, August 21, 2024 — The Kashmir Rainbow Film Festival concluded its two-day run on August 21, 2024, at Tagore Hall, leaving a lasting impression on audiences with its diverse selection of films. The festival, which aimed to showcase the vibrant cinematic landscape of Kashmir and beyond, was met with acclaim for its thoughtful curation and impactful storytelling.

The festival’s highlight was the screening of the Kashmiri feature film Qouluf, which garnered widespread appreciation from attendees for its compelling narrative and poignant portrayal of local themes.
Over the course of the event, seven films were screened, including the world premiere of the Kashmiri feature film Baand and the Final Cut Kashmir premiere of the Urdu feature film Ibtida, among others. Each film was celebrated for its unique contribution to the cinematic arts, providing a platform for both established and emerging talents.

At the closing ceremony, the festival director announced that the next session of the Kashmir Rainbow Film Festival will take place in 2026. The upcoming edition will focus on highlighting a new artist—be it an actor, director, producer, music director, or editor—who has made significant contributions to the field.
