The unit of measurements in Kashmir has been “ Khaar” Ass load since time immemorial. Khaar comes from Persian word “Khwaar” which means Ass load .

11) Actual name of Kangri ( fire pot) is Scaldinio. The Kashmiris learnt the use of Kangri from the Italian who were in the retinue of Mughal emperor according to one tradition.
12) Sacred Hair of Prophet Muhammad Alihimusalam reached Kashmir in 1699AD. It was brought by Khwaja Nur-Ud-Din Ishbari who had brought it in Bijapur , Karnataka .

17) Watall Tribe of Kashmir used to visit Lal Bab Sobun Shrine ,it was called Watal Mela ,in Watal Mela they used to dance locally known “Watal Dembail”.
18) TEHRIKH-E-AHL-HADITH :
During Ranbir Singh reign ,Shiekh Hussain Batkoo of Srinagar graduated from Madrass a Miya Sahib under the guidance of Molvi Nazir Hussain who himself was student of Siddique Hussain Khan .He established first Ahl-Hadith Masjid in Narwara .Later on he was heavily criticized and Ranbir Singh banned him in Srinagar eventually banished him to Kulgam and then Shopian where many people including Anwar Shah Shopiyani got inspired by his monotheistic beliefs .
19) JAMAAT ISLAMIYA KASHMIR :
The formal unit of Jama’at was formed in 1946 in the form of a library (Darul Muta’la) at Nawab Bazar, Srinagar and Moulana Saad-ud-Din (A.R) was elected as its first head.
20) 18715 STATE PROSTITUTES:
According to Robert Thrope ,Ranbir Singh used to charge 25 percent of Whole revenue of Prostitutes. In 1880, Maharaja received 25 percent of revenue of state from the gain licensed Prostitutes .There were 18715 state licensed Prostitutes in Kashmir.( Cashmere Misgovernment,chapter 4 ,page 35 )
21) First medical mission in KashmSingh not to drink water bought by kashmiri Muslim but Hindus didn’t comply. ( Walter Lawrence ,Valley of Kashmir pp.300)
22) BHAJI CONCEPT AMONG PANDIT :
Bhaji was practiced in Kashmir. It was a concept in which only a Muslim can distribute sweets and cooked food among the relatives of Pandit .This practice died because of hostility and disfavour of Maharaja Pratap Singh ( Census 1901 ,vol 1 ,pp.84)
23)BOILING MUSLIM IN OIL FOR EATING BEEF
Sikh and Dogras regime who occupied Kashmir used to boil Kashmiri Muslim in oil for eating Beef .
Tyndale Biscoe ,a well known educationist and co-founder of Biscoe School ,Srinagar narrates that “ Often they ( Muslim ) were boiled in oil and then having them hung from hook (Fateh Kadal ) which was fixed to pole in a public place in Sikh and Dogra rule .(Kashmir in sunlight and shade pp.123 ) .
