One more Indian army soldier injured in Kautha terror attack has succumbed to injuries taking toll of killed soldier to five, Defence officials said on Monday.
Defence officials said, One more jawan has succumbed to his injuries. Total death toll in Kathua terror attack rises to 5. Counter terrorist operations still going on in the area.
An encounter is still underway between troops and the terrorists in the area.
After concluding recent operations in the Kulgam and Chinigham areas, an Indian Army convoy was attacked by terrorists in the Machedi area of the Kathua district on Monday.
As per the officials, the area in Jammu and Kashmir falls under the 9th Corps of the Indian Army.
“After firing by terrorists, our troops also retaliated. More details are awaited,” defence officials said.
