Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 premiered on Monday (September 28). This time around the show’s format was tweaked keeping the Covid-19 situation in mind. There was no live audience, hence, no audience poll lifeline. It has been replaced by ‘video a friend’.
The first contestant on KBC 12 was Aarti Jagtap. She was asked a question related to actor Sushant Singh rajput who died by suicide on June 14 in Mumbai, during the course of the game.
It was about Sushant’s co-star Sanjana Sanghi in the film, dil Bechara which was released after his death. Amitabh Bachchan asked Aarti about the actress who had debuted opposite the late actor in it.
Aarti knew it was Sanjana Sanghi and did not use any lifeline for it.
She ended up winning Rs 6.40 lakh.
While shooting for the season, Big B kept his fans abreast of how they have been shooting, adapting to the new normal. With minimal people on set, utmost precaution has been taken care to ensure the safety of all.
In fact, KBC’s showrunner had shared in a video all the changes they have introduced keeping Covid-19 in mind.
From conducting GK tests of the contestants remotely, no live audience to the distance between Big B and the contestant’s hot seat, everything has been done in keeping with the safety norms. ( TOI )
