The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 began with roll-over contestant, a Delhi-based fashion designer Nisha Ram. She has revealed in the previous episode how her business was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and she went broke and this was the reason she has come on the quiz show. Nisha played the game with the help of life lines and walked away with the prize money of Rs 6,40,000. She quit the game after she was not sure about the answer for Rs 12,50,000 question.
Post Nisha’s exit, show’s host Amitabh Bachchan welcomes the guests for the Karamveer special episode. He first called the director of the popular film Sairat Nagraj Manjule and social worker Anuradha Bhosale.
Anuradha Bhosale is the founder of an NGO called Avani. The NGO and Anuradha have been working to save thousands of children from child labour. While playing the game, Anuradha shared that she has been working towards the cause for the last 25 years. She also talked about how she herself was a victim of child labour. She also shared that she gets death threats very often and she doesn’t mind if she has to lose her life for the betterment of the kids.
Nagraj Manjule shared with Mr Bachchan how as kids he used to regularly watch Kaun Banega Crorepati when it was launched and his mother would criticise him. She would tell him that he should do something in life that he gets to be on the hot seat with Mr Bachchan and shared how his mother’s words have come true
During the course of the game, there was a question on Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s 2019 film Thackeray and Bigg Boss shared an interesting anecdote about the late Bala Saheb Thackeray. Mr. Bachchan shared that people often ask him about his equation with Bala Saheb Thackeray and his friendship with the family.
Big B revealed that during the special puja that was kept for the film Thackeray, he had spoken about his friendship with Balasaheb Thackeray. Mr. Bachchan narrated that when he got married to jaya bachchan, they were invited by Balasaheb Thackery at their house. Upon reaching his house, Tai, Thackeray’s wife Meenatai Thackeray, welcomed Jaya by performing an aarti. They were stunned to see the love and ever since then they have treated his wife Jaya as their daughter-in-law.
