The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 started with host Amitabh Bachchan presenting the fastest finger first questions and Ruchika Tripathi from Haldwani, Uttar Pradesh made it to the host seat. She is a and is a Research Officer at an NGO. During the introduction video, Ruchika shares that the last two years have been very difficult for her and her family because it has just gone in repaying the debts and loans. She further says that sometimes she feels that her family’s condition would have been better if she would have chosen some other career.
Amitabh Bachchan was amazed when he got to know that she chose Genetics and Anthropology as her subjects for education and he asks details about her. Ruchika shares that she is worried about her parents’ old age and their financial situation and hence she decided to be on KBC.

Big B started the game with Ruchika with a question about his film Sholay. And she gets confused and uses her first lifeline 50-50 for it. She successfully answers the questions.
The question was: Who played the “angrezon ke zamaane ka jailer” in Sholay? The options were: A) Iftekhar B) AK Hangal
C) Asrani D) Jagdeep. The answer for the same was C) Asrani.

During the episode, when Mr Bachchan asked Ruchika why the seat of companion is empty and didn’t she get anyone from her family with her on the show. Ruchika replied that her father Jagat Narayan Tripathi had accompanied her, but after arriving here, he was tested COVID-19 positive. Hence, he was isolated and could not make it to the show. She shared that he was eagerly looking forward to meeting him. Mr Bachchan through the show prayed for his recovery.

Ruchika exhausted all her lifelines and was presented a question for Rs 25,00,000 that she couldn’t answer. It was about Gautam Buddha.

The answer was B) Niranjana.

Ruchika decided to quit the show and took home Rs. 12,50,000.

After Ruchika made an exit, Abhilasha Rao Kalwa won the fastest finger first and joined Big B on the hot seat. Abhilasha is from Madhya Pradesh and she is making her mark in a male dominated profession. She is working as a Forest Range Officer. In her introduction video, Abhilasha talked about her work and risk associated with her job. Abhilasha spoke about how the profession is male dominated and during her first batch out of 78 students, only 11 were girls. Abhilasha shares a cute story that people have this feeling that a Ranger Forest Officer would be a male, but as soon as they hear her voice, they call her Ranger Sir Madam. Big B jokes with Abhilasha and says that he will address her as Abhilasha Range Officer Sir Madam and both laugh over it.

Big B begins the game and after using one lifeline, Abhilasha manages to earn Rs, 40,000. Mr Bachchan will begin the game with her in the next episode. (TOI)
