KCCI urges the Government to devise a special procedure to fly back stranded Kashmiri students & business men

Unlike in any other place, people of Kashmir have traditionally been moving out from Kashmir during the winter months. School and other educational institutions are closed down, the Government shifts the Capital to Jammu for 6 months, business operations are minimized. People only return in the month of March to resume their normal activities. Due to the COVID lock down, a large number of our residents have been stranded outside Kashmir. We urge the Government to devise a special procedure to fly them back. The issue is unique to Kashmir and thus merits a customized response from the administration. Moreso in view of the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
