Srinagar, Dec 5: The Kashmir Care Foundation’s MenToR initiative has recorded its first notable success, with mentee Abrar Ahmad, an M.Tech scholar at the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Pulwama, securing a paid Machine Learning Research Internship at NoGAP.AI.
Abrar’s achievement comes under the guidance of his mentor Mohammad Junaid, a Senior Technology Leader (AI/ML) at Google Inc., Germany. His mentorship played a pivotal role in helping the young researcher refine his skills and navigate the competitive tech landscape.
Kashmir Care Foundation (KCF) has termed the development a proud milestone, stating that the success demonstrates the transformative impact of structured mentorship, access to global expertise, and student dedication.
“We take immense pride in this accomplishment and view it as the beginning of many future success stories emerging from our MenToR Program,” the foundation said in a statement, congratulating both Abrar and Junaid for their roles.
The MenToR initiative aims to connect Kashmiri youth with experienced professionals across industries to build capacity, foster confidence, and support career mobility.
The Foundation added that it remains committed to expanding opportunities for young talent in Kashmir and hopes this achievement inspires more students to pursue emerging fields such as AI and machine learning.
