Srinagar, July 13 : Senior Political Figure Khurshid Aalam on Friday resigned from the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference, citing the need to better serve his constituency and address the concerns of his people.

In a statement, Aalam expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the People’s Conference party and praised Sajad Lone, the party leader, with whom he shares a brotherly bond.

He acknowledged the platform provided by People’s Conference but indicated that the mandate of his people would not be fully addressed within the party.

Aalam said, “It has been an incredible experience to be part of this esteemed party.

However, the time and circumstances demand that I, as a representative of my people, look beyond the horizon and address their concerns, respecting the faith they have reposed in me since the very onset.”
