Killing of labourer in Budgam: Police arrests brick kiln owner

Days after the killing of non local labourer in Budgam, police on Monday arrested a brick kiln owner for negligence and non-compliance of government orders. 

In a statement issued to news agency police said that Mohammed Yousuf Mir resident of Chattergam who’s brick klin is located at Magraypora Chadoora was arrested under FIR number 102/2022  at Police Station Chadoora.

Pertinent to mention that on June 2, suspected militants fired upon labourers in brick klin resulting in death of one of the labourers namely Dilkhush Kumar son of Narayan Rishidev resident of Gaon Ladugarh, Purina and injuries to other. 

Police has advised all the brick kiln owners and managers to strictly follow the guidelines issued by government/administration to ensure safety of the labourers working in their respective units. 

In-case of non-compliance or any negligence, police said strict action is warranted under law—(KNO)
