Srinagar, August 23 : Kashmir Traders & Manufactures Federation(KTMF) has urged govt for simplifying and devising effective policies with regard to ease of doing business terming the move would be a “step in the right direction”.

According to a statement issued here a central delegation of KTMF led by its caretaker President Haji Muhammad Yaseen Khan participated in a business conclave at Baramulla district to meet and greet all the stakeholders of business community from all the districts and Tehsils of North Kashmir. Khan was accompanied by Lateef Ah Sofi & Qazi Tauseef.

In a simple but impressive function held at Traders Federation Baramulla office Khan who also heads Kashmir Economic Alliance(KEA),said that the economic empowerment and development of Jammu & Kashmir is not impossible but the speed of reforms has been slow, which must be expedited with the consultation of all relevant stakeholders.“The central government has already devised business policies but the regulations and procedures are crucial to encourage private investment. Such steps would infuse more confidence in the business community, stop the exodus of trade and flight of capital and attract investments in industrial, agricultural and other sectors,” he remarked.

A similar meeting of KTMF constituents of South Kashmir will be convened in the coming days, Khan observed.

He urged the newly elected President Er Tariq Ah Mugloo and General Secretary Farooq Ah Kanroo to meet the expectations of people by taking the business scenario to new heights in the district. ”The role of representatives of the business community is to make businesses vibrant and progressive. Adding that the KTMF is committed to provide all support to the Baramulla and other districts and Tehsils of North Kashmir he added that the District Trade Body has to work in synergy with KTMF for the benefit of traders.”
