University of Kashmir undergraduate students Tuesday hit streets in Srinagar demanding reduction in syllabus for upcoming joint examination of their 5th and 6th semesters.
Students from various colleges of the city lamented what they termed as KU’s mismanagement which has led to the clubbing of two semester exams.
“We have not completed the syllabus of 5th semester yet leave alone starting the 6th semester. Exam for both is two months away,” a girl student told media sources.
She added that they will have no time to prepare for the postgraduate entrance test of KU as the varsity announced PG entrance will be held subsequently after our examination.
“KU is in a mess and we are suffering because they couldn’t conduct exams in a time,” another student told reporters here.
She said that KU should reduce the syllabus and defer the PG entrance test.
Reportedly, a protest on the same issue is being held by students of Boys Degree College Anantnag.
