KU Vice Chancellor reviews implementation of CBCS Stakeholders give feedback during day-long workshop

Srinagar, Aug 8 : A day-long workshop on choice based credit system (CBCS) was held at University of Kashmir.
Organized by Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA), the workshop was aimed to review implementation of CBCS at the University, highlight its various objectives and identify operational difficulties, if any.
In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi said the CBCS has definitely been a challenge for all universities, “but with support from various stakeholders including students and teachers, our university has been able to implement it properly, though there are still some difficulties at the operational level.”
Congratulating teachers for putting in extra efforts to make CBCS successful, Prof Andrabi said: “In a short span of time we have been able to tailor CBCS as per the requirements of our students and teachers and the evaluation system has also been modified in tune with the guidelines laid down by UGC under CBCS.”
Dean Academic Affairs Prof Musadiq A Sahaf said “as far as CBCS is concerned, we have been able to perform better than several other universities. But we don`t have to be complacent and more needs to be done to further improvise upon it.”
Chief Coordinator DIQA Dr Manzoor A Shah highlighted the aims and objectives of the one-day workshop while Deputy Director DIQA Showket Shafi presented vote of thanks. Coordinator DIQA Adil Bashir conducted the proceedings of the workshop. (CNS)
