Kulgam Police Seize Over 30 Vehicles for Non-Transfer After Sale Purchase

Kulgam, Dec 12 : In a major enforcement drive against improperly documented vehicles, Kulgam Police on Friday seized more than 30 vehicles found plying on roads without the mandatory transfer of ownership after sale purchase.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Acting on the directions of SSP Kulgam Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS), dedicated police teams were deployed at multiple locations across the district to check compliance. During the drive, over 30 vehicles bearing outside J&K registration numbers were seized for violating transfer norms.

Police have urged vehicle owners to promptly update ownership documents after every sale–purchase transaction.

Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against violators, adding that similar enforcement drives will continue in the coming days. (KNC)
