Kulgam youth dies in Saudi Arabia, family requests MEA, Admin to facilitate mortal remains

A 24-year-old boy of Kulgam has died in Saudi Arabia and his family back home has requested the Ministry of External Affairs and other concerned officials to facilitate his mortal remains on a humanitarian basis. 

Usman Shah, son of Abdul Gani Shah, a resident of Gundipora Chowgam, was working in a hotel in Saudi Arabia and is said to have died of a heart attack during the intervening night of August 30-31.

Mohd Ramzan his relative told us that the deceased boy was working in a company there as a waiter and had died due to a heart attack. 

“His friend called us and informed us about his death. We have already approached Deputy Commissioner Kulgam and have also spoken to the company there, both have assured that his mortal will be returned home,” he said. 

“We are in contact with Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the family in Kulgam. Facilitating mortal remains back to Kulgam J&K,” DC Kulgam tweeted.
