Shopian | July 11, 2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha felicitated a group of young women upon the successful completion of their vocational training at the Army Goodwill School, Shopian, and five other training centres across South Kashmir. The event marked a significant step toward empowering women in the region through skill development and self-reliance.
Congratulating the participants, LG Sinha applauded the initiative as a model of inclusive development. “It’s heartening to see our daughters gain skills and confidence through such meaningful efforts. I congratulate Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Vikas Evam Sewa Sansthan and the Indian Army for this outstanding initiative in the service of women empowerment,” he said.
The training programs covered various trades and life skills, enabling participants to become economically independent and contribute to their families and communities.
