SRINAGAR 09 Jun : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday welcomed Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on his arrival in Srinagar.

In a post on social media, the Lieutenant Governor said he had the honour of receiving the Union Minister in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

Gadkari’s visit is considered significant as several major infrastructure projects, including key highway and tunnel developments aimed at enhancing connectivity and accelerating development in the Union Territory, are expected to be reviewed during his stay.

The visit comes as the Centre continues to intensify efforts to strengthen road infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir, with an emphasis on improving transport links, reducing travel time and supporting economic growth in the region.
