Weatherman has forecast isolated light rain and thunderstorm over Jammu and Kashmir in next 24 hours even though the minimum temperature recorded a drop at most places on Thursday.

A meteorological department official here told that “scattered to fairly widespread rain and thunderstorm was expected on subsequent two days.
In last 24 hours till 0830 a.m., the official said said, Batote received 16.6mm of rain.
Regarding minimum temperature, he said that Srinagar recorded a low of 19.6°C same as on the previous night.
The temperature was 1.5°C above normal during this time of the year for the summer capital, he said.
