Srinagar, Sep 28 : The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Monday said generally cloudy weather with light rain, thundershower and gusty winds is prevailing over many places of Jammu and Kashmir.

An official of MeT told that on September 28, generally cloudy weather with a spell of light rain, light snow over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds is expected at many places till late afternoon today.

From September 29 to October 3, the weather is expected to remain generally dry, it said.

From October 4 to 6, partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain, light snow over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds is expected at few places.

From October 7 to 8, generally dry weather is expected, while on October 9-10, partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain, light snow over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds is likely at few places.

In its advisory, the MeT said farmers should continue harvesting of apple and paddy along with other farm operations from tomorrow onwards.

It also advised safe storage of harvested crops during today.
