A local person was killed after being hit by a moving train along Anantnag to Sadura railway section this morning, officials said.

They told GNS that the deceased received fatal injuries after getting hit by the train plying from Baramulla to Banihal. The person died instantly, they said.

The name of the deceased is being ascertained, they said further.
