Police on Thursday have arrested one absconder who was evading his arrest for last 14 years in Awantipora.
A Spokesperson said that Awantipora Police received non-bailable warrants under section 299 CrPC/ 335 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita issued by the Hon’ble Principal Session Court Pulwama against one absconder namely Latief Ahmad Akhoon S/O Jalal din R/O Mulfaq Harwan Srinagar.
The abosconder was involved in case FIR No 100/2011 under section 20/20 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Awantipora.
Accordingly, a special team headed by SHO PS Awantipora Inspector Ajaz Hmad under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora was constituted and the accused person was arrested. Subsequently, the arrested accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Law.
