Lt Gen Balbir Singh assumes command of Chinar Corps

Srinagar, May 01: Lieutenant General Balbir Singh on Friday assumed charge as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the strategically crucial XV Corps (Chinar Corps) of Army.

As per news agency, on assuming the command, Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Balbir Singh extended his warm greetings to the ‘Awaam of Kashmir’.

Chinar Corps Commander reaffirmed his commitment to work in close synergy with the Civil Administration and the Awaam to advance lasting stability and inclusive growth in the region.

He reasserted his resolve to maintain robust and coordinated partnership with civil administration, security forces and populace to further strengthen the foundation of peace, progress and prosperity across the Kashmir Valley.

“As the mantle of leadership transitions, the Chinar Corps remains an enduring emblem of unity, resilience and unwavering commitment—steadfast in its mission to ensure lasting peace, stability, nurturing rich cultural heritage and meet the aspirations of the Kashmiri youth for a brighter future & ‘Viksit Kashmir’,” the 15 Corps said in a post on its X handle—(KNO)
