Srinagar, July 11 : Majlis Tahfaz-e- Itihaad convened an important meeting that was presided by senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shain Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi.

The participants in the meeting condemned the Atipora, Hinjgora Shoolipora incident and was reiterated that nobody will be allowed to harm Shai-Sunni unity. The participants said that vested interest elements try to create a wedge between different sects that will not be allowed at any cost.

It was stressed that all efforts should be made to recover the abducted girl while the abductor will be punished as per Sharia law. A 15 member team was constituted to probe the unfortunate incident.

Majlis Tahfaz-e- Itihaad expressed deep sorrow and grief over the killing of Amarnath pilgrims in an attack in Anantnag and strongly condemned it.

“This incident goes against the very grain of Kashmiri ethos. The annual Amarnath Yarta has been going on peacefully for centuries and is part of our yearly rhythm and will remain so. Our heart goes out to the families of the bereaved and we express our heartfelt condolences to them,” the participants said.

“The incident is a conspiracy to defame Kashmiris. We demand an impartial inquiry into the killings,” Aga Hasan said.

While paying rich and glorious tributes to the martyrs of 13 July 1931, Majlis Tahfaz-e- Itihaad said that the Kashmiri nation will continue their fight “against the occupation of India at any cost and in any way.”

“The martyrs of 13 July sacrificed their precious lives for the Islam and against the forced occupation of Kashmiris and this process is continue till date. In 1947, we although got rid from the autocratic Dogra rule but the short-sighted leadership of that time once again tossed us in the worst kind of slavery but this time we were into the cruel clutches of India,” the participants said adding that the mission of the martyrs of 13 July 1931 is yet to be accomplished and this process of sacrifices will continue till we see the dawn of freedom and till the India is occupying this land.” (CNS)
