Man carrying cash detained for questioning in North Kashmir

Joint Forces including army soldiers and police detained a suspect possessing cash in Teetwal area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sources said that police had inputs that the said cash was meant to be used for drug trafficking and other anti-India activities.

Sources told news agency that after receiving specific input, a police party from police post Teetwal and army apprehended a man near Karnah tool post. The man who is the resident of Jabdi Karnah was travelling in a vehicle.

Sources said that besides some goods, Rs 10 lakh were recovered from the man. “He was detained for questioning and his vehicle has been seized,” sources said. (KNT)
