On noticing the police team, Singh allegedly attempted to flee but was chased and apprehended by the personnel, the spokesperson said.

During his personal search, police recovered a revolver from his possession. He failed to produce any valid licence or legal authorisation for carrying the firearm, the spokesperson added.

A case under the relevant provisions of the Arms Act has been registered at Bari Brahmana police station, and further investigation is underway. ( PTI )
