Srinagar, August 24 : The fourth Imam, Imam Zainul Abideen (AS) kept the memory and remembrance of Karbala alive in Islam, despite all the conspiracies and plans to divert people’s attention from this heinous crime by the Umayyad dynasty. Highlighting the life of Imam Zainul Abideen (AS) President All J&K Shia Association Molvi Imran Reza Ansari has said that Imam Sajad (AS) countered this plan most sublimely, by establishing this very institution of Aza – mourning and commemorating Karbala.
While delivering the sermon at Majlis e Hussaini to thousands of mourners today at Chenabal (Pattan) Molvi Imran said that when we speak about this great Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS), we always speak with the background of the tragedy of Karbala, because that is the central issue in the life of Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS). He lived for 35 years after Karbala, but throughout his life, the main focus and emphasis were Karbala and the uprising of Imam Hussain (AS).
He said that we see all these different aspects globally of love and grief for the tragedy of Karbala, which was established by Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS). No one lived in more difficult conditions than Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS). There was unrelenting pressure. Anyone suspected of affiliation to Ahlul Bayt (AS) was summarily killed.
He also stressed upon unity and integrity among Muslims and urged them to follow the teachings of Imam Hussain (AS).
Later Zuljinah procession was also taken led by Molvi Imran Ansari and General Secretary AJKSA Mr Abid Ansari in which thousands of mourners participated which was concluded at Kakerpora (Mirgund)
