Massive fire breaks out in Central Kashmir’s Chadoora

A massive fire broke out in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday evening, Police said.

A police spokesman said, “Fire broke out in a shopping complex at Chadoora market opposite Tehsil office around 17: 30 hrs.

05 tenders were rushed in and fire men along with police and magistrate on spot controlled the fire by 18: 45 hrs, however fire engulfed some structures and 02 shops in the upper storey of the complex.”

He said that bo loss of life or no o injuries reported in this incident.Cause of fire is being ascertained.

The spokesman said, locals and firemen are clearing debris and checking gutted portion and adjoining structures.

Pilgrims who are returning from Chaar e sharief Urs are requested to bear with traffic halt. Police is managing diversions of traffic.
