The young calligraphist Mir Andleeb told news agency that she was passionate about taking part in arts and crafts. “I used to make handmade things as that is what would give me satisfaction. During Covid lockdown, I discussed the idea with my parents and after getting their nod, I started focusing on calligraphy and visual art.”

In absence of formal training, she worked hard and got admitted to bachelors programme in Institute of Music and Fine Arts University of Kashmir in 2021
