Srinagar, September 5: As part of the ongoing Weekly Rangdhara Theatre Festival at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, artists of Mehak Dramatic Club captivated the audience with their powerful performance of the Kashmiri stage play “Mauj”.
Organized by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages, the play was written by Shehnaz Mushtaq and directed by Farhat Siddiqui. It received an overwhelming response from theatre enthusiasts.

The cast, featuring Jan Majrooh, Shehnaz Mushtaq, Mahjabeen Ankasari, Master Muntazir, Baby Hoorain, Farhat Siddiqui, and Gulfam Barji, was lauded for their remarkable acting. The storyline, centered on the greatness of motherhood, struck a deep emotional chord with the audience.
Supporting roles in the production were rendered by Hilal Khan, Shabir Haqaq, Tanveer Dar, Ali Mehdi, Sufi Fatima, and Rohit Butt, whose efforts added depth to the staging.

Adeel Saleem, Additional Secretary of the Cultural Academy, graced the event as the chief guest. Prominent cultural figures including Mushtaq Ali Ahmad Khan, Gul Javed Khan, Farooq Sheikh, Hakim Javed, Abdul Majeed Wani, Jehangir Farash, Parvez Ahmad, Khurshid Mir, Shehzad Shabir, and Mohammad Yousuf Shaheen were also present at the occasion | Kashmir Pen
